In 1939 el Banco de la Republica (The Bank of the Republic) began helping to protect the archeological patrimony of Colombia, its purpose was the acquisition, preservation and exhibition of pieces of jewelry and pottery from indigenous cultures of pre-Columbian period of the current Colombia. It has the worlds largest pre-Hispanic gold collection with 55,000 pieces and 6,000 pieces are on display in their expanded building. On this tour, you will be picked up at your hotel at 10:00am and you'll be taken to the museum where you'll meet our guide.
