The route begins in Feira do Gado, in Santa parish, Porto Moniz, and follows in the opposite direction of the water.

This is a walk that takes place mostly within Madeira’s native Laurissilva Forest.

It was originally built by the farmers and used to feed the various mills that exist here. You can still see some of the ruins from the old mills when going through this path

We will take you to the source of the levada to enjoy a beautiful waterfall found that feeds this levada.

This is a full day trip and walk that starts at around 9am until 5pm. It has a walking distance of about 11km and takes approximately 4h00m to complete.
