Half-Day Hue Insider (Private tour)

Today’s tour will begin at 08:00. Move off the beaten track for a look at the imperial city’s hidden gems during this hue half day tour. Climb into a cyclo for ride through the ‘Old City’. Stop at Tinh Tam Lake, a peaceful oasis where emperors used to come to relax. Take a short stroll, admiring the tranquil atmosphere and lotus flowers growing in the calm waters. Then hop back in the cyclo for a short ride to Tay Loc Market. Step inside and mingle with the locals while browsing the colourful stalls.

Venture further out of town to the countryside where time seems to have stood still. Explore a tranquil pagoda set deep in the woods. See the tombs of eunuchs and learn of their role in the Royal Court. If it happens to be a Thursday or Sunday, witness the gathering of Buddhist monks and nuns who gather in this serene setting to pray together.

Last but not least, visit the Royal Antiquities Museum, a beautiful ancient house restored as a museum. Admire the collection of ornaments from dynastic times, then return to the hotel.
