Cerro Chato Hike

Intense hike to the top of Cerro Chato, a dormant volcano located right next to Arenal, whose crater is now a beautiful lake surrounded by forest. Cerro Chato, which is an ancient extinct volcano right next to Arenal Volcano. Its proximity to Arenal will provide the best and closest views of the most active volcano in Costa Rica, and at the same time, you will be traveling through the lush rainforest vegetation of this region. During the hike up to the top, you may see different species of birds, monkeys, sloths, frogs and others. Once at the peak, you can admire the beautiful green lagoon which covers the main crater of Cerro Chato Volcano.
