Om den här aktiviteten
Our Daily Bike Tours are 2-2.5 hour guided bike tours starting in Riga's Old Town and heading into the suburbs to discover the beauty of the city away from the touristy centre. The two tours each day, at 12:00 and 15:00 have different routes and cover different

The tour at 12:00 covers the old fisherman's district of Kipsala island, famous for the beautifully restored wooden houses, then crosses the Daugava river and heads into the pearl of Riga, the Art Nouveau or Jugenstil district. In between we ride through the green belt surrounding the old fortified heart of Riga, take in beautiful views across the mighty Daugava river and provide some suggestions how to better enjoy the city after the end of the tour.

The 15:00 tour rides along the banks of the Daugava river, with beautiful panoramas, before delving into the Moscow district, famous for its wooden houses, and also for being the location of the Jewish ghetto in the second world war. We then pass into the old St. Petersburg district, now called the City Centre, passing the factories, workers houses and Art Nouveau apartment buildings that developed as Riga grew in the early 1900's. We ride all the way up to the Great Cemetery, a decaying testament to the Baltic German ruling class that controlled the city right up until the beginning of the first world war.

We provide comfortable city bikes for all sizes (even the little ones), helmets and safety gear are also available. The tour is lead by a licensed guide who is happy to answer any questions you may have along the way.

The routes are easy and safe, and the pace depends on the ability of the riders. This is a great way to discover the city while having fun and getting some exercise.
