Upon arrival you will firstly pay a visit to Pattern-Carved Mansion which covers an area of 5000 square meters and is titled "No.1 mansion in the south of Yangtze River" is located on Dongshan Island in the Taihu Lake and was originally built in 1920s by two brothers Jin xizi and Jin zhizi for their mother and the whole architectural complex is famous for its amazing different carvings including brick,wood and stone carvings especially the wood carvings which are made by a very representative artist Zhou Yunlong belonging to Xiangshan School in Suzhou.

In the afternoon your guide will show you around Luxiang Ancient Village,which was originated in the Southern Song Dynasty with a history of more than 1000 years ago and is a relatively intact ancient village of Ming and Qing Dynasty and titled No.1 Village near Taihu Lake, and it has the highest-quality and most well-preserved Ming and Qing style architectural complex in the south of the Yangtze River. Lu Xiang ancient village’s celebrities emerge in large numbers, known as the cradle of scholars and the hometown of professors, especially the Prime Minister Wang Ao whose mother’s family name is Lu in the Ming Dynasty,hence the name.

You will have a dim-sum lesson from a dim-sum master. Dim sum is a style of Chinese cuisine prepared as small bite-sized portions of food served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. Dim sum dishes are usually served with tea and together form a full tea brunch. Dim sum traditionally are served as fully cooked, ready-to-serve dishes. Suzhou-style dim sum has many different varieties made of red bean, glutinous rice, flour, sesame and so on. 

Special and delicious dim sum will be served for your lunch after the interesting lesson.
